Berdasarkan hal tersebut, Kiai Said saat menghadiri buka puasa bersama di kediaman Setya Novanto, Jalan Widya Chandra III, Jakarta Selatan, Rabu (07/06/2017), menyampaikan komitmen lembaganya untuk tetap mengawal NKRI dengan dasar negara Pancasila.

"Jadi komitmen NU dulu sekarang dan seterusnya tetap mengawal NKRI dengan dasar Pancasila mencakup agama dan budaya (serta, red) iman dan budaya. Sila nomor satu agama, iman, habluminallah. Yang empat sila adalah habluminannas," ujarnya.

Kia said pun menegaskan bahwa saat ini Pancasila sudah sempurna, jadi tidak ada alasan untuk mengubah ideologi ini.

"Sudah sempurna sekali, sangat islami sekali Pancasila," ucapnya.

Berkenaan dengan itu pula, Kiai Said pun mengajak setiap pihak untuk mencintai Indonesia dengan dasar negara Pancasila dan tidak memberikan ruanag sekecil apa pun untuk kelompok anti-Pancasila.

"Mari kita cintai, kita sayangi Indonesia ini dari sejak dini. Kalau ada kelompok (yang ingin, red) ganti Pancasila, atau meremehkan Pancasila, atau tidak menghormati Pancasila dari sejak dini harus kita berantas jangan sampai besar," katanya, tegas sebagaimana dikutip tjaritjari.com.

Ninik menerangkan bahwa Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974 tentang Perkawinan menetapkan batas usia warga negara untuk menikah minimal 16 tahun.

Hal tersebut berbeda dengan peraturan perundang-undangan tentang pemilihan umum yang berlaku di Indonesia, yang menetapkan setiap warga negara berusia 17 tahun atau sudah menikah memiliki hak pilih.

Berbeda dengan beberapa undang-undang tersebut, Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) menetapkan batas usia 21 tahun baik laki-laki maupun perempuan untuk menikah. Pada usia ini baik pria maupun wanita sudah matang secara fisik maupun psikologis.

Ninik pun sepakat dengan batasan usia menikah yang ditetapkan BKKBN. Menurutnya, pernikahan bukan hanya harus dilihat dari usia fisiknya saja, tetapi juga kematangan psikologis.

"Kita harus tegas menghentikan pernikahan usia anak. Seorang anak tidak bisa disamakan dengan orang dewasa karena belum bisa mengambil keputusan sendiri," ujarnya, sebagaimana dilaporkan Antara.

Bila terjadi pemaksaan pernikahan, lanjut Ninik, pernikahan usia anak dapat dikategorikan kekerasan seksual terhadap anak.

Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) Prof Dr Muhadjir Effendi di sela kunjungan kerjanya di Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur, Jumat mengatakan bahwa pihaknya akan memprioritaskan pengangkatan 6.300 calon pegawai negeri sipil (CPNS) guru.

Guru-guru yang diperioritaskan tersebut adalah guru-guru yang nantinya akan ditempatkan di daerah tertinggal, terdepan, dan terluar (3T).

"Memang ada pengangkatan guru untuk menjadi CPNS sebanyak 6.300 orang pada tahun ini, namun pengangkatan guru ini diprioritaskan untuk ditempatkan di daerah 3T, termasuk ada empat daerah 3T di Jawa Timur, yakni Kabupaten Bangkalan, Sampang, Situbondo, dan Bondowoso," katanya.

Hampir di seluruh wilayah Indonesia, tak terkecuali di Kabupaten Malang, masih kekurangan tenaga guru. Namun tahun ini, lanjut Mendikbud, tidak ada pengangkatan guru di wilayah Kabupaten Malang maupun lainnya, selain di daerah 3T.

"Kalau Kabupaten Malang masuk daerah 3T, saya bisa dimarahi Pak Bupati. Sebenarnya tidak ada moratorium untuk tenaga pendidik, tetapi memang tidak ada kebijakan pengangkatan tenaga pendidik baru," ujarnya.

Muhadjir pun telah memiliki trik untuk mengatasi kekurangan tenaga pendidik tersebut, yaitu melalui Program Guru Keahlian Ganda di mana guru normatif dan adaptif akan dididik kembali dan dibekali kemampuan mata pelajaran produktif.

"Dengan cara ini, kebutuhan guru, terutama SMK bisa diatasi tanpa mengangkat guru. Ada sekitar 12.000 guru yang lulus pendidikan guru berkeahlian ganda pada tahun lalu. Dan, tahun ini ada 15.000 guru yang mendaftar program ini," jelasnya, yang juga menambahkan bahwa Kemendikbud telah menargetkan sekira 40.000 guru dengan keahlian ganda pada 2018.

Bethesda, MD, April, 2017 - Arriving in time for Holocaust Remembrance Day comes K. Heidi Fishman's debut novel, Tutti's Promise (MB Publishing, $9.99, ages 10 and up, ISBN-13: 978-0-99088430-1-6), based on the experiences of her mother, Ruth Lichtenstern Fishman (nicknamed Tutti), and her mother's family. Their story of survival, courage, and hope includes surprises, raids, sabotage, helpful friends, and kind strangers. And through it all, Tutti’s bravery shines through.

"Tutti's Promise" recounts Tutti's journey beginning as a one-year-old child, when her family fled Cologne, Germany, for neighboring Amsterdam in 1936. But four years later, the Nazis invaded the Netherlands. Unable to escape due to the Nazis' occupation of neighboring countries and the bordering sea, the Jews were eventually deported to concentration camps, mainly Auschwitz and Sobibor, where more than 102,000 of the approximately 140,000 Jews who had been living there were murdered. Twenty-five to thirty thousand Jews survived by going into hiding. Given these grim statistics, the fact that Tutti’s immediate family survived is astonishing.

The project began when Dr. Fishman realized that, though Tutti had been making presentations to students since 2007, in order to preserve her mother’s story for history, she’d have to document it in a book. Dr. Fishman began researching, including making several trips to Europe. She knew that Tutti's father, Heinz Lichtenstern, was a trader in metals. But what she didn’t know then was that his expertise was a major factor in the survival of the family. After they had all been transported to Westerbork, a transit camp, Heinz was able to save his family's life and those of many other Jews by helping to establish the camp’s scrap metal sorting facility, which partially supported the Nazi war machine. Naturally, that’s where the sabotage portion of the story comes in.

Knowing this history made the first document that Dr. Fishman found all the more poignant: “It was from Adolph Eichmann’s trial and stated that the request for seven Jewish metal experts to be exempt from transport out of the Netherlands was denied by Eichmann’s office. The men were identified by name—and my grandfather’s name topped the list."

Dr. Fishman was introduced to her publisher when she tried to find the yellow cloth star that her mother had been forced to wear. Tutti thought she might have given it to a young man, Jim Catler, who had interviewed her in 1975 for an oral history project for the Greater Hartford Jewish Historical Society. Dr. Fishman located Mr. Catler, who assured her that her mother had not given him the yellow star. He then asked if she had interested a publisher in her book. When she answered “not yet,” Mr. Catler invited his fiancée, Margie Blumberg, the President of MB Publishing, into the conversation. Within a month, the manuscript had found a home, and ten months later, the book was published.

Dr. Fishman has been blogging about her journey and, as a result, many people have reached out to her, such as the woman whose own grandfather had arranged for Tutti’s family’s life-saving passport, and a Dutch author who told her that Tutti’s father helped save the family he was writing about. The blog www.PopjeAndMe.com has a following of about 700 readers and has had over 18,000 hits.

Granbury, TX, April, 2017 - The Dora Lee Langdon Cultural Center announces the solo exhibition: The Essence of the World: Works by Nataliya Scheib

Tarleton State University and the Dora Lee Langdon Cultural and Education Center in Granbury, TX, are pleased to announce a solo exhibition, The Essence of the World, by Houston artist Nataliya Scheib. An opening reception will be held April 29, from 5 to 8 pm. The Essence of the World will run until June 21, 2017.

Scheib’s first solo event, “The Essence of the World,” is dedicated to a celebration of human life, and is comprised of 16 collages and paintings. Sophisticated and multi-layered, the collages, at first glance, appear to be painted landscapes, re-imagined iconic imagery, or floral paintings, but a closer look reveals deep strata of media; a metaphor for ever-deeper layers of interpretation. Layers lead to the surprise of discovery as Scheib’s painterly collages invite personal interpretation. Scheib refers to her intuitive technique, an intensive process of encounter and layering, as “painting with images.”

Born in Kozyatun, Ukraine, Scheib uses her media she describes as, “familiar, material relics from my life,” including textiles, traditional crochet items, magazine images, and fragments of other objects, as well as “the traces we leave upon the spaces we inhabit.”

The materials are transformed into an energetic essence of reflective meditation on the artist’s travels, as well as her inner environment. Each work consists of a striking accretion of material, meaning, and emotion. Notable in her mature collage technique is her inventive use of color, value, and hue gradients.

About the artist: Noted for her meticulous collages, Nataliya Scheib has also been recognized for her traditional Ukrainian-style painting. A large-scale reproduction of her oil painting, “Roses and Hearts on the Blue Sky" was installed on a building façade at 901 Main Street – part of a 2016 Art Blocks Houston project.

Scheib’s work has been published in numerous periodicals and magazines, including: Houston Downtown Magazine; The Houston Chronicle; Art Studio; Local Houston Magazine; ArtAscent Magazine; Visit Houston Texas, Downtown District Houston, and Art Blocks Houston.

Her work has shown at several U.S. exhibitions and venues, including: Katy Contemporary Art Museum, Katy, TX; Fine Art Museum, Gadsden, AL; North Gallery Department of Art and Design, San Jacinta College, Houston, TX; Nicolet Gallery, Nicolet College, WI; Department of Art and History, University of Texas at Tyler, Tyler, TX; Lawndale Art Center, Houston, TX; Dacia Gallery, New York, NY; and Blue Mountain Gallery, New York, NY, to name a few. She has shown internationally in Berlin and Romania.

Scheib’s work has been featured in exhibition venues such as; The National Association of Women Artists; Oil Painters of America; National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society; and The International Society of Experimental Artists.

Scheib has received several awards and honors, including, “The Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Art, Landscapes Art Competition” for oil painting by the Light Space and Time Gallery. In 1986, Scheib completed an intensive 4-year classical art education at The School of Art, Ukraine. In 1990, she completed a BA in Architecture at the College of Construction and Architecture, Zhitomir, Ukraine. She then earned a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and City and Urban Planning at the Kiev National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Kiev, Ukraine, in 1997. After coming to the U.S, Scheib continued her studies in painting and collage at the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX.

Scheib has participated in international artist residencies in Romania and Germany. She was selected for the Summer 2015 “Autocenter: Intensive Art Residency” in Berlin. Hal ini menjadi perhatian serius kalangan pendidik dan praktisi pendidikan dalam memperbaiki mutu kualitas pembelajaran di dalam kelas sehingga berdampak pada naiknya prestasi akademis siswa.

Salah satu program peningkatan mutu kualitas pembelajaran adalah melalui replikasi pelatihan pembelajaran modul 1, 2, 3, dan 4 Pembelajaran aktif, kreatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan untuk guru-guru baik tingkat Sekolah Dasar dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (SD/MI) maupun Sekolah Menengah Pertama dan Madrasah Tsanawiyah (SMP/MTs). Pelatihan tersebut diperuntukkan bagi guru-guru yang ada di Kota Bogor melalui program USAID PRIORITAS yang sudah bekerjasama hampir selama lima tahun sejak tahun 2013. Program kerjasama tersebut ditindaklanjuti melalui Dinas Pendidikan dan Kantor Kementerian Kota Bogor.

Uju Djuwana, Kabid Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan (GTK) Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bogor mengaku terbantu dengan pelatihan yang diselenggarakan USAID PRIORITAS yang telah bekerjasama dengan Dinas Pendidikan, “sebagai Kabid GTK, saya serius ingin meningkatkan mutu pengajaran guru-guru di dalam kelas, baik di SD dan SMP. Pelaksanaan pelatihan yang telah berjalan selama ini, harus terus dipertahankan bahkan harus ditingkatkan, walaupun USAID PRIORITAS sudah tidak berada di Kota Bogor”, jelas Uju, panggilan akrabnya, di sela sambutan penutupan program USAID PRIORITAS di Aula Dinas Pendidikan, rabu, (12/04).

Uju menambahkan, peningkatan mutu guru harus dimulai dari diri sendiri dan tempat dia mengajar, “Guru adalah fasilitator siswa di dalam kelas, oleh karenanya harus terus ditingkatkan kualitas maupun kapasitas kemampuan mengajar guru, perubahan pembelajaran ke arah yang lebih baik harus ada niat dan komitmen yang baik pula dan dimulai dari guru itu sendiri” tambahnya.

Lintang Annisa, dari Badan Kerjasama Pemkot Bogor, mengaku bangga Kota Bogor terpilih menjadi mitra USAID sejak program DBE sampai PRIORITAS, ”saya mewakili pemerintah Kota Bogor merasa bangga bahwa Kota Bogor menjadi salah satu mitra peningkatan mutu pendidikan sejak zaman DBE sampai PRIORITAS, kemajuan dan kelebihan program ini sudah disampaikan banyak oleh testimoni para fasilitator, sehingga kami mendukung penuh Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bogor untuk melanjutkan program ini” ujar Lintang.

Erna Irnawati, Koordinator USAID PRIORITAS Provinsi Jawa Barat dalam sambutannya, menyampaikan bahwa Kota Bogor ini merupakan salah Kabupaten mitra yang telah berhasil banyak melakukan diseminasi atau penyebarluasan di seluruh sekolah dengan dukungan APBD Kota Bogor, ”tentu ini menjadi modal awal setelah program USAID PRIORITAS sudah tidak lagi berada di Kota Bogor, karena semua pemangku kebijakan mendukung program ini melalui diseminasi mandiri baik dari APBD maupun yang bersumber dari sekolah” ujarnya.

Erna menambahkan, bahwa setelah Kota Bogor menjadi mitra USAID PRIORITAS banyak prestasi yang telah diraih, ”tentu dengan banyaknya prestasi yang telah diraih, ini menunjukkan bahwa program USAID PRIORITAS telah berhasil di Kota Bogor, salah satunya adalah rata-rata nilai UKG guru-guru di Kota Bogor berada di nomor dua setelah Kota Bandung”, tambahnya.
 
Dari pantuan media ini, seluruh peserta tampak aktif mengikuti kegiatan penutupan program ini, “guru-guru di Kota Bogor masih sangat haus akan ilmu, salah satunya dengan kegiatan pelatihan maupun diklat, karena hal itu merupakan bagian dari pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan atau program PKB bagi para guru” ujar Siti Djumhurijah, disela-sela testimoni.
